Ylivette Robles, Physical Therapy Aide
What is the essence of what you do?
As an aide, my job is to help guide patients through their prescribed exercises and help ensure they are being pushed to their fullest potential. My job as an aide is to be a person patients are comfortable and open with. I also make sure the clinic is clean and organized before patients arrive to make their session as smooth as possible.
What are some of your personal interest outside of work?
I enjoy exploring new things, taking pictures and videos and documenting moments of my day to look back on in the future. I also enjoy fashion and thrifting clothes and accessories and watching long TV shows.
What are some of the things you believe in? It can be a favorite quote or words of wisdom, etc.— something that identifies you.
My parents came here with nothing, I have to give them everything.
What do you like most about working for this organization?
What I like most about working at Restore Plus is the environment. Everyone is a family here and we all look out for each other including the patients. Patients love to interact with us because unlike most facilities we listen and we care.
What do you like most about caring for patients?
What I like most about caring for patients is creating a bond with them that goes beyond their time at Restore Plus. I enjoy working alongside them as they progress in their recovery.
Why did you choose to become a physical therapy aide?
I chose physical therapy as a profession after my kinesiology class in college. My professor was a physical therapist and she was in love with her profession she brought her passion to class and basically poured it on us. Outside of the material she spoke about the incredible progress her patients have made within months after coming to her. I knew since I was little I wanted to be in the medical field, but I never knew what exactly until I met her.
What do you think your patients like about you?
I think patients like my attentiveness not only in their exercises but in our conversations.
What do you think patients like most about your organization?
What I think patients like about our organization most is the environment, all of our staff are very welcoming and make the clinic feel at home. I think patients also enjoy our organized facility and all of its equipment.
