Harold Gravador, Physical Therapist
What is the essence of what you do?
To give life to years. To me, tolerating pain and having difficulty in doing daily activities is not an option. I believe that to having a good state of mind and body might not make everyone happy, but it gives them an opportunity to do so. As a Physical Therapist, I have the opportunity to help people achieve that.
What are some of your personal interest outside of work?
I’d like to call myself a fitness enthusiast. I do bike, workout and do boxing in my free time. Anything to burn calories. Aside from that, I’d like to spend my remaining time learning another language or enhancing my crafts.
What are the things you believe in?
I believe that results might not be rewarded to everyone who works hard, but the only way to get results is through hard work.
What do you like most about working for this organization?
I love how connected the staff are with each other. We got each other’s back, and help each other in every way we can. In turn, we also connect with the community and to our patients.
What do you like most about caring for patients?
When I see them getting better and better, and I have the honor of tracking that. Having a positive impact on them gives me satisfaction.
Why did you choose to become a physical therapist?
To give a little backstory, I used to compete in martial arts tournament, until I got injured. I was devastated. Not only was I out of the tournament, but I even had a hard time walking. My parents decided that I go through Physical Therapy. I was never able to get back in tournaments, but I felt that I got my life back. As my way of gratitude, I want to at least improve everyone’s quality of life.
What do you think your patients like about you? And your organization?
Our connection with them. We spend time to connect with them emotionally, which motivates them to work hard with us. Consistency and results follow afterwards.
