Arianne Paroly, Physical Therapist
What is the essence of what you do?
As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I do everything I can to get my patients doing not only what they need to do, but also what they love to as quickly as possible.
What are some of your personal interest outside of work?
I have an unhealthy obsession with dogs; cooking and skiing are my passions and I thoroughly enjoy cheese, painfully spicy food, and picking heavy things up, then putting them down while at the gym.
What are some of your favorite quotes?
Hard work, adventure, and wonder above all else.
What do you like most about working for this organization?
The level of thoughtfulness and care here exceeds what I’ve seen anywhere else, and my coworkers teach me so much every day!
What do you like most about working with patients?
The instant gratification achieved by helping someone overcome even the smallest amount of fear or pain sustains me.
Why did you choose to become a physical therapist?
Physical therapy chose me! My baby sister tore her ACL in high school–I went with her to every session to keep her company and hold her hand when it hurt, then that clinic hired me as an aide, since I knew all of the exercises, and the rest is history! My BA in psychology from Cornell U and DPT from NYU prepared me academically for the rigorous internships I chose, which further solidified my decision to join the field of PT.
What do you think your patients like about me?
My sharp, therapeutic elbows!
What do you think the patients like the most about the organization?
Regie has put together an empathetic, clinically diverse and talented team, and I think patients sense and appreciate that.
